Metrolina Greenhouses to hold job fair for Spring season | Business

HUNTERSVILLE - Metrolina Greenhouses will be hiring 250-350 people for the spring season beginning in the middle of February for work at their location in Huntersville.

Application are being accepted during three job fairs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. After, February 20, applications will need to be handed in at the greenhouse in person.

Available jobs are seasonal, lasting till the middle of May, with some jobs extending till October 1.   

Two shifts will be available. First shift is from 6:55 a.m. to 4 p.m. Second shift is 4 p.m. until 1 a.m.

Both shifts will have required overtime paying out at 1.5 times the base rate. All positions pay $9.50 per hour, $10.00 per hour after 30 day, and $10.50 per hour for employees brought on full time after November 1.
