Could a strip club be coming to Mooresville? | Business

MOORESVILLE - Could there soon be a strip club in the town of Mooresville?  The answer is yes, if a developer can get approval on a proposal he submitted.

Developer Terrell Hinson has presented a proposal to build an adult club along Oates Road, behind the Fat Boy's restaurant.

At-large Commissioner Miles Atkins is opposed to the club being allowed.

“This is not a good proposition and I believe it will be detrimental to our community," Comissioner Atkins emailed in a statement to the Mooresville Weekly editor Justin Vick.

Atkins told WBTV that getting an adult establishment in Mooresville is a seven step process, including proper zoning and submission of site plan to the town's planning department.
