MOORESVILLE, NC (WBTV)- Police in Mooresville say a 17-year-old man found dead inside a home last week died from a gunshot wound.
According to police, the incident was reported at 7:16 a.m. on the 300 block of Bell Street.
Police responded to the home, and found Markell Terrice Norris, 17, dead inside the home.
Officers initiated a death investigation at that time.
Preliminary results of an autopsy conducted on Monday indicate that Norris died as a result of a gunshot wound.
His death is being investigated as a homicide, police told WBTV.
